Meet Stevan

Originally from the Seattle area, Stevan Porter has lived in the Northern Virginia region since 1995 and has been a resident of Herndon since 2008. Steve is not new to politics, having run respectful, fact-based campaigns for Congress in 2018 and Herndon Town Council in 2020 and 2022 (missing a seat by 119 votes). He continues to engage in the community through the many roles he holds in organizations including the Herndon-Reston Rotary, Knights of Columbus, St. Joseph Catholic Church, the Herndon Board of Zoning Appeals, and his work as a volunteer paramedic with the Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad. Steve is a full time IT professional with over 25 years experience in the field and currently manages a team of 18 talented support engineers for Oracle, USA.
Steve recently celebrated his 15th wedding anniversary with his wife Johnise. They enjoy travel, the arts, and spending time with their dogs Biscuit, Crumpet, and Molly.
